All pricing for events will be discussed at the time of inquiry.

For schools and workshops within driving distance, Jim will bring his own sound

system. If the facility has a sound system available of acceptable quality, then Jim

will use that one instead. If Jim must fly to an event, the venue is to provide a complete

sound system. Sound requirements are discussed at the time of confirmation.  Travel

fees are included if the venue is outside of a 70 mile radius from Jim's home in Katy.

Travel fees include round trip mileage at $0.40 per mile, $28.00 per diem if staying

overnight is necessary, and lodging. If flying or rental car is necessary, then the venue

is expected to reimburse for any expenses incurred.  Big Jim's Tangy Tunes will try to

make every effort to arrange for multiple programs in one area, allowing all venues to

share expenses.  At the time of booking, Big Jim's Tangy Tunes will send you a

standard two page contract that states all the information for the program and what

necessities are needed. With the contract, Big Jim's Tangy Tunes will send a color

poster to be hung in the school or venue, additional brochures, and CD order forms so

that you may fully publicize Big Jim's appearance at your school or event.  A little effort

goes a long way in creating anticipation, excitement and turnout for a Big Jim's Tangy

Tunes performance.

**Jim wants all children to have the opportunity to experience Tangy Tunes, so pricing can be further discussed at the time
of inquiry for hardship situations.   Promotional opportunities like educator conferences and workshops will receive either
special pricing or fees will be waived when applicable.

Presentations to teacher/educator
conferences and workshops consist
of a detailed, step-by-step
demonstration on how to use
Big Jim's Tangy Tunes
in the classroom, as well as how to
create your own songs, unique to your
own style, to facilitate learning,
connect concepts to the students'
world, and heighten interest in the
subject content.
Using a combination of a PowerPoint
presentation and original music, Jim
shares his unique teaching techniques
and insight from his 13 years of
experience as an Elementary and Jr.
High teacher to teach, engage and
encourage students, helping learners
connect emotionally to subject
matter.

The exhibition will emphasize how
using music in the classroom, directly
related to and developed from
curriculum, utilizes all three learning
styles: audio, visual and kinesthetic.

Jim will, in an entertaining and
informative way, demonstrate not
only how to use
Tangy Tunes as a
supplemental tool to what you as a
teacher are already using in the
classroom to teach and meet  your
objectives, but how to create your
own songs using your own, unique
verbiage.  It is Jim's goal to show
that you do not have to be "musical"
to create catchy and memorable
songs to fascilitate learning in the
classroom.
Audience participation is encouraged
and coached.

Half day workshops (3.5 hours) and
full day workshops (7 hours) available.
What to expect when
Big Jim's Tangy Tunes comes to
your school or function.

A 50 to 90 minute presentation
will consist of Jim and his guitar,
a sound system, and a PowerPoint
presentation.

Jim will:

Introduce a concept

Briefly connect the
relevancy of that concept to
the audience's world.

Conduct a short modeling
example using the song and
the song's lyrics to teach
the concept using the
PowerPoint presentation with
specific examples (this is
also beneficial for the
teachers in attendance)

Play the songs for the kids,
inviting them to join in with
singing, hand motions and
volunteer dancers.
